. Live with Family option includes:
  • Classes only for one week (4 hours a day, 5 day week)
  • Private teacher
  • Private room in home of Mayan family. If you are traveling with someone, you should let me know if you want separate families or to live together. You will probably learn better and quicker if you live with separate families.
  • 3 meals a day for six days. If you have special dietary needs, please list them in the comments section when you make your reservation. Most families are used to having vegetarian and vegan students.
  • Use of school's cayucos (canoes)

. Since their oldest son has gone to college in Guatemala City Rafael and Agudelina often let students stay in his room. The Mayan families are typically gracious hosts. The families are chosen for their ability to help the students and for the relative comfort of their room. The rooms have outlets (for computers etc.) but don't expect internet connections.

The secure Reservation form is three pages long. Only when you click the button at the bottom of the third page will your reservation be sent. You should receive an automatic email confirmation of your reservation signifying that your reservation has gone through. After I process the your credit card I will also send you an email message, usually within two days.

  If your plans change and you cannot be there within a day or two of the date please notify us as soon as possible to reschedule or to receive a refund. Unfortunately as a teacher/family must commit his/her time to working with you, if you inform us less than three days before your class was to start, you may not receive a full refund.
